Doctoral education

Education and research at the Department of Applied Information Technology is oriented towards the digitalization of society.

The department offers education and carries out research within the areas of informatics, learning & IT, and communication & cognition in close cooperation with industry and public sector. Doctoral students are expected to contribute to the development of theories and concepts to describe, understand and develop the use of information technology as well as the design of innovative applications in different areas.

The doctoral education programme at the department is connected to the research school in educational sciences at University of Gothenburg (CUL), and the National research school in Management and IT (MIT), as well as University of Borås, Halmstad University, and University West.
