BRIGHT project visit from Uganda

The purpose of the SIDA BRIGHT programme is to contribute to sustainable socio-economic growth in Uganda through capacity building in research and eduation at Makerere University within the area of ICT.

During this week senior colleagues from Makerere University will attend the final seminars of Hawa Nyende and Michael Kizito, both are PhD students at AIT in the subject informatics. Activities will also take place aiming to promote the sustainability exit planning of the BRIGHT program in terms of feasible activities ahead, e.g. visits between Mak-CIT and GU-AIT to contribute in teaching and research activities at both universities, identification of unique challenges within education and research, and to reinforce networking and meetings. BRIGHT started 2016 and it ends 2020.

Visiting colleagues from School of Computing and Informatics Technology (CIT), College of Computing and Information Sciences (CIS) at Makerere University (Mak) in Kampala are Associate Professor Engineer Bainomugisha, Dr. Evelyn Kigozi Kahiigi, Dr. Peter Nabende and Dr. Agnes Rwashana Semwanga.
