Konferens 2020: Samverkande visuell forskning

In 24-26 March 2020, GPS400 arranges its second international conference. The theme is collaborative visual research and the conference takes place within 'GPS400: Centre for Collaborative Visual Research', a six-year-long interdisciplinary research centre initiated by the vice-chancellor at UGOT in April 2019. The entire conference is held in panels according to the following preliminary outline (changes may occur):

International Conference on Analyzing and advancing simulations for professional learning (SimPro2020)

The conference brings together practice-oriented research on simulation-based training from three different domains: medicine, maritime navigation, and police education. In their talks, the conference keynotes discuss the theoretical underpinnings of professional learning in simulated environments, putting focus on embodied actions with different artefacts during simulation as well as the importance of language and social interaction for reflecting on simulation in post-simulation debriefings.

The application of games to technology, as manifested in computer (console) based, virtual environments and with physical robots, has provided a fruitful avenue for studying cognitive and emotional phenomena. It has also provided a means for facilitating and understanding about learning processes and clinical deficits within learning and decision making.
