    [12 Nov 2018] Academia meets practice in the course ¿Strategic Communication and Leadership¿: Five junior communication agencies, composed of ¿Master in Communication¿ students, pitched innovative communications concepts to the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce on November 8, 2018. Mårten Westlund and Karin Duneberg of the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce award the prize Best Pitch and Presentation to the junior agency Glocal Strategical Communications. Glocal strategical communications is from left to right: Jingjie Weng, King Wai Ma, Caroline Wiklund and Matilda Reinhold as well as Sophia Håkansson who could not join her team on the day of the pitch.

  • Award winning SCDI research

    [17 Aug 2018] The European Research Paper of the Year award recognizes the best, most solid and relevant European research papers of the past year. Fredrik Svahn, Lars Mathiassen, and Rikard Lindgren was recently awarded the Runner-up for their MIS Quarterly article ¿Embracing Digital Innovation in Incumbent Firms: How Volvo Cars Managed Competing Concerns¿. The prize was received June 11, during the CIONext conference in Brussels.

  • The engineer who switched to informatics - meet Fredrik Svahn

    [13 Aug 2018] As a recently graduated engineer in the late 1990's Fredrik Svahn early discovered the tension that appeared in large projects when traditional industry production went over to use digital software. Many years later Fredrik has started a research project where the intention is to do a survey of how Volvo Cars integrates the mechanics with modern electronics.
