Rikard Lindgren is a professor of Informatics at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and the University of Borås, Sweden. Professor Lindgren is also director and co-founder of Swedish Center for Digital Innovation. His research interests include action research, design science, digital innovation, IT standardization, mobile services, and technology adoption.
His research has been published in European Journal of Information Systems, Information and Organization, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Information Technology, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, MIS Quarterly, and other outlets. In 2003, he was awarded the OR Society’s Stafford Beer Medal for the best paper published in European Journal of Information Systems and Knowledge Management Research and Practice.
Professor Lindgren currently serves on the editorial boards of Information Systems Journal (Senior Editor) and Information Systems Research (Associate Editor). As for the latter, he was recognized with the Best Associate Editor of 2011 award. Previously, he served as an editor of the Scandinavian Journal of Information Systems. He now serves on the advisory board of the journal. Over recent years, he has served as track chair for several international conferences such as European Conference on Information Systems and International Conference on Information Systems.
