Digitalization is a signature of our time. It offers almost unlimited opportunities for firms, public authorities and citizens. At the same time, it makes a steamroller of existing markets, organisations, and technologies, causing deep societal challenges. Given this background, the overall purpose of the Digital Leadership programme is to give students a deep understanding of how digitalization transforms industries and society and to develop capabilities for taking a leading role in embracing and shaping this transformation.
Digital leadership relies on capability to navigate the competing concerns of digitalization, but also involves active orchestration of digital innovation processes. The study programme in Digital Leadership seeks to provide individuals and organisations with such capability from five distinct perspectives:
We are taking on a wide range of classical theories and relate them to contemporary research and current practice. Departing from technological change, the study programme is primarily focusing on management and leadership. What does the digitalized society mean for management? How do organisations reach the full potential of digitalization, and how do they avoid the pitfalls?
