Organisation

The Department of Applied IT is part of both the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology. At the University of Gothenburg the department is a part of the IT Faculty.

Organisation and managment

The department is led by the head of the department, the deputy head and the head of administration. The department has a departmental advisory team where the majority of the members are representatives from industry. The departmental advisory team meets four times a year to discuss the department’s strategic and long-term matters. Educational questions are managed by the educational advisory team led by the vice head of the department responsible for education. Students are represented in the departmental and educational advisory teams.

The department is organised into six divisions and an administrative division. The divisions form three partly overlapping complete milieus: informatics, learning and visualization.
